Campari Group Global Travel Retail (GTR) Americas and Royal Caribbean International marked a milestone in their partnership during the company’s 2025 President’s Cruise, according to a press release.

For the first time, the companies offered a branded event at Royal Caribbean’s private island of Perfect Day at CocoCay.

According to the press release, the activation took place in late September and included special experiences at Oasis Lagoon and Hideaway Beach.

The areas were said to have been transformed for the event, offering a new look and enhanced experiences inspired by Aperol and Espolòn Tequila.

“Royal Caribbean’s 2025 President’s Cruise was a unique occasion to bring our brands to life in an exclusive setting, extending our activations beyond the ship with a destination takeover that immersed travellers in their spirit,” said Biancamaria Sansone, global head of marketing and customer channel marketing of Global Travel Retail at Campari Group.

She added that each brand marked a milestone in their collaborations with Royal Caribbean, reflecting Aperol Group’s “commitment to pushing the boundaries of engagement with today’s global travellers.”

“Aperol played a central role in proving once again its magic in bringing people together across any occasion, while Espolòn Tequila added a bold and distinctive edge to the island experience,” Sansone continued.

“More than just a brand presence, it was about creating memorable experiences, moments of joy and connection,” she added.

Building on last year’s collaboration onboard the Oasis of the Seas, Campari Group GTR and Royal Caribbean took the experience ashore for the first time with an Aperol takeover of Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The activation was said to have brought Aperol’s refreshed brand visual identity to the destination, in areas including DJ booths, pool bars and chill-out zones.

At Hideaway Beach, the island’s adults-only retreat, guests were also treated to an Aperol truck, as well as mobile bars, gifting stations and photo opportunities.

Alongside Aperol, Espolòn Tequila made its debut in the program, offering guests beverages at Hideaway Beach’s On The Rocks Bar.

Campari Group GTR said that guests were also invited to immerse themselves in Espolòn Tequila’s world through photo opportunities that encouraged sharing across social media. They were also gifted Espolòn Tequila-branded caps and sunglasses.
