The Norwegian Sky recently arrived at the Cape Verde Islands as part of a trans-Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean.
According to Enapor – Portos de Cabo Verde, the Norwegian Cruise Line docked in Mindelo on Dec. 14, 2025, with 1,468 guests onboard.
Concluding a summer season in Europe, the Norwegian Sky visited the destination as part of a 16-night repositioning voyage.
The cruise departed from the Port of Barcelona in early December and includes visits to ten destinations in seven countries and islands.
In addition to Mindelo, the ship is sailing to Málaga, Cádiz, Casablanca, Agadir, St. Maarten, Tortola and St. Kitts. The 2,000-guest vessel is then set to arrive in La Romana on Dec. 22, 2025.
As part of its final winter season, the Norwegian Sky is set to offer a series of cruises in the Southern Caribbean.
Departing from the Dominican Republic, the seven- to 12-night itineraries feature visits to a wide range of destinations in the region, such as Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire and St. Lucia.
The deployment runs through early April, when the 1999-built ship is scheduled to return to Europe for its final season for Norwegian Cruise Line.
Following a series of cruises to Northern Europe and the British Isles, the Norwegian Sky offers three farewell voyages ahead of being handed over to its new operator.
The first sails from Southampton to Barcelona, visiting destinations in Western Europe and the Mediterranean before ending at the Spanish port 11 nights later.
The vessel then offers a nine-night cruise to Italy, France and Greece that ends at the port of Piraeus near Athens.
In early September, the ship bids farewell to Norwegian with a 21-night cruise to Dubai that sails across the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.
Acquired by Cordelia Cruises earlier this year, the vessel will be renamed Cordelia Sky for service in India.
