Holland America Line and Seabourn announced that they have secured the rights from IMG to broadcast the FIFA World Cup across their fleets in 2026.

According to separate press releases, guests onboard the companies’ ships will be able to watch all of the tournament’s 104 matches.

Being held throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Holland America said that marquee matches may be showcased on the Lido Pool’s big screen or in the World Stage theater on certain ships for “an unparalleled viewing experience at sea.”

“Soccer is the most popular sport across the globe. The FIFA World Cup is the world’s preeminent soccer tournament, and we realize how important it is for our guests to be able to watch it live on our ships,” said Michael Smith, HAL’s senior vice president of guest experience and product development.

“Guests can confidently book their cruise for next summer knowing that if their national or favorite team advances, they will be able to watch the match from the comfort of their stateroom,” he added.

Seabourn guests will be able to watch the games onboard the company’s three ocean ships on Sport 24 Special Event Channels.

“The FIFA World Cup is a pinnacle event. We know how important it is for our guests to experience these matches live while traveling to extraordinary destinations on board our ships,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn.

“This is just one more way we deliver unforgettable moments at sea, where the thrill of global sport meets the elegance of luxury travel,” he added.

Kate Garden, Commercial Director of IMG, said that the broadcaster is pleased to support Holland America and Seabourn in “delivering an unforgettable viewing experience for fans onboard.”

“From private staterooms to open-air decks, guests will be able to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of the tournament as we bring the spirit of the stadiums to sea next summer,” she added.
