The AIDAnova welcomed a special visit from the Coca-Cola Christmas truck on Saturday, according to an update shared by AIDA Cruises.

Docked at the Cruise Center Steinwerder in Hamburg, the vessel welcomed the truck for an exclusive visit that included a series of festive activities planned in collaboration with Coca-Cola.

“Whether the podium, meet and greet with Santa, or AIDA Coca-Cola bottles, this is where the hearts of all Christmas fans beat faster,” the company said in a social media post.

The AIDAnova was in Hamburg to kick off a new seven-night cruise to Norway and Denmark that will feature visits to Copenhagen, Kristiansand and Oslo.

Sailing from its winter homeport in Germany, the AIDAnova is currently offering a series of winter cruises in Northern Europe and Scandinavia.

The ship’s schedule includes seven-night itineraries to the Netherlands, Belgium and France, as well as weeklong voyages to Norway and Denmark.

The cruises are highlighted by visits to a wide range of ports of call, including Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre Oslo, and Copenhagen.

In April, the 2018-built ship will reposition to Kiel ahead of offering weeklong cruises to the Norwegian Fjords over the summer.

The vessel’s season in the region started in early November with a special sailing that featured Matthias Reim, who was described by AIDA as a pop legend who has shaped the German music scene for over 30 years.

In addition to the AIDAnova, a second AIDA ship, the AIDAprima, is also operating in Northern Europe this winter.

Originally scheduled to sail in the Middle East, the 2016-built ship was redeployed to the region earlier this year.

Sailing from Kiel, the AIDAprima is offering seven- to nine-night itineraries to the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia.

In January, the vessel is also scheduled to offer a 23-night cruise to the Canaries sailing roundtrip from Germany.
