Trafalgar has appointed two former guests as the Godmothers of its new river cruise line, set to debut in April 2026.

The brand has selected Cassandra (Cassie) Estrella-Roca of Southern California and Kate McIntosh of Melbourne, Australia, to represent its debut ships, the Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie, as they travel the Danube and Rhine rivers.

Trafalgar said in a press release that it selected its Godmothers as part of a refreshed approach to the tradition, choosing real guests over public figures, whose authenticity, loyalty and enthusiasm reflect the traveler-first philosophy behind Trafalgar.

Both Godmothers were chosen through Trafalgar’s Travel Unlocked Awards.

“Our river cruise product has been built around the idea that travel should feel personal, joyful and shaped by the people who experience it,” said Damien O’Connor, vice president of river cruises at Trafalgar.

“Estrella-Roca and McIntosh reflect everything our brand stands for, including warmth, connection and a genuine love for discovery. Having them bless the Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie is a meaningful way to begin this new chapter on the rivers of Europe,” added O’Connor.

Estrella-Roca will serve as Godmother of the Trafalgar Verity, which will debut on the “Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam” itinerary from April 12 to 21, 2026.

Cassie said: “I am a loyal person when something works for me… Trafalgar has been that brand for me.”

McIntosh will serve as Godmother of the Trafalgar Reverie, which will launch on the “Best of the Danube” itinerary from April 11 to 18, 2026.

McIntosh said, “I am so excited to be the new godmother and so proud to be part of an amazing brand, Trafalgar.”

Both Godmothers will sail on their inaugural voyages and participate in select launch-season activities.
