Hapag-Lloyd Cruises introduced a new two-fare model for all new bookings, replacing its current three-tier system with Platinum and Silver fares.

The streamlined structure is designed to make travel planning clearer and more flexible, the cruise line announced.

“Our goal is to make booking decisions easier for guests,” said Clas Eckholt, vice president commercial at TUI Cruises. “With two fares and more flexible options in the Platinum fare, guests gain greater clarity and freedom in planning their trips.”

The Platinum fare offers one free rebooking up to 90 days before departure and allows cancellations up to 180 days before departure for a small fee. Adjusted policies apply for voyages of 22 days or longer and top suite categories. The fare continues to include free choice of cabin, suite and deck, plus early booking of shore excursions.

The Silver fare maintains the same scope of included services as before. Cabin, suite and deck are assigned by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, and shore excursions become bookable 14 days after publication.

Starting Jan. 3, 2026, all guests will enjoy a selection of complimentary soft drinks throughout the day. Other inclusive services in both fares include champagne on arrival, daily refilled minibar, 24-hour cabin service and gourmet full board. Depending on itinerary, included experiences such as zodiac excursions are also provided.

Existing bookings will remain unchanged, the company said.
