The Margaritaville at Sea Islander introduced a dedicated tattoo studio earlier this year, Margaritaville at Sea revealed in a recent social media post.

While the vessel previously offered tattoos in its spa area, the new Permanent Reminder studio features a full-time tattoo artist in a dedicated space.

According to guest reports on social media, bookings can be made once onboard, and prices for the tattoos start at $75. Guests also reported that pre-purchased spa credits can be used for the tattoos.

Passengers can choose from a selection of pre-made designs, which include Margaritaville-themed options, or commission a custom design.

With Permanent Reminder, Margaritaville at Sea joins Virgin Voyages as one of the mainstream cruise lines to offer tattoo studios onboard.

As the second ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, the Islander offers year-round cruises out of the Port of Tampa Bay.

Originally built for Costa Cruises in the late 1990s, the 2,100-guest vessel was acquired by the company in 2023.

The ship then underwent a major refurbishment project in Europe before being christened by Savannah Buffett, daughter of the late singer and author Jimmy Buffett, in mid-2024.

As part of its announced deployment plans, the Islander is set to offer a series of four- to ten-night cruises to Florida and the Caribbean.

The ship’s itineraries feature visits to a wide range of destinations, such as Key West, Progreso, Cozumel and the Cayman Islands.

In related news, Margaritaville at Sea is set to introduce a third ship, the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, in early 2027.

Currently sailing as the Costa Fortuna, the 2003-built vessel will also mark the company’s debut in PortMiami with a series of three- to eight-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Margaritaville at Sea also operates the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, which offers short cruises out of West Palm Beach.
