Global Ports Services (GPS) has announced the close of its 2025 cruise season, which was marked by operational milestones, geographic expansion and deepening collaborations with cruise companies.

“2025 has been a year of meaningful progress: expanding our reach, deepening client relationships and delivering services that meet the rising standards of the cruise industry,” said Jordi Guillem, GPH’s port services director.

“We are committed to building on this momentum and continuing to provide integrated port services that bring efficiency, quality and added value to every port call,” added Guillem.

“None of this would be possible without the dedication of our GPS team, whose hard work and commitment drive our success every day.”

The Global Ports Holding company said in a press release that the season opened with GPS welcoming TUI Cruises’ newest vessel, the Mein Schiff Relax, for five turnarounds at Barcelona Cruise Port.

In April, GPS strengthened its partnership with Virgin Voyages during the brand’s fourth season in Barcelona, managing turnaround operations when ships operated at full capacity.

The company added that it also expanded its operational footprint, delivering its first turnaround operation at Lisbon Cruise Port.

The occasion marked a step in extending its integrated service across the Atlantic and the Western Mediterranean.

In Malaga, GPS increased its presence with dedicated support for Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady, managing onboard logistics, ground services and crew movements.

GPS said this milestone coincided with the opening of its own office in Malaga, a strategic investment designed to enhance service consistency and strengthen on-the-ground responsiveness.
