Two Marella Cruises ships are currently undergoing routine drydocks in Europe: the Marella Discovery and the Marella Voyager.
Upon completing a summer deployment in the Mediterranean, the Voyager arrived at the Navantia shipyard in Cádiz, Spain, on November 6, 2025.
The 1997-built ship is now undergoing routine maintenance, in addition to technical upgrades and class inspections.
In a similar operation, the Discovery completed a summer season in the Mediterranean before sailing to the Netherlands for its drydock.
The former Splendour of the Seas arrived at Damen Shiprepair yard in Rotterdam on November 11, 2025.
As part of its shipyard stay, the 1996-built vessel is also undergoing scheduled maintenance, in addition to technical work and class inspections.
Both ships are being prepared to resume service ahead of their winter seasons, with the Voyager scheduled to sail in the Canary Islands and the Discovery in the Caribbean.
The vessels are set to welcome guests back on December 5, 2025, and December 2, 2025, respectively.
The Voyager embarks on an eight-night repositioning cruise from Málaga to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, while the Discovery offers a trans-Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean.
Sailing to La Romana, Dominican Republic, the 14-night cruise departs from the port of Vigo in Northern Spain.
Taking advantage of shoulder seasons, various ships headed to shipyards over the past few weeks, including Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition.
The 1999-built vessel arrived at the APCL A&P Falmouth Shipyard earlier this month for a project that includes mechanical overhauls, essential steel repairs, a full hull repaint and more.
Other ships currently undergoing drydocks include the MSC Magnifica, which will also debut new features following a shipyard stay in France.
The 1996-built Crystal Symphony is also going through a major update in drydock at a shipyard in Genoa, Italy.
