Regent Seven Seas Cruises has added another newbuild to its orderbook with the addition of another order at Fincantieri, set for delivery in 2033.

It follows the Regent Prestige, set for delivery late next year, and a second newbuild scheduled for 2029. All three ships will be 77,000 tons with capacity for 822 guests.

The value of the contract, subject to financing and other terms and conditions typical of this type of contract, is defined as large, according to a press release.

“The expansion of the strategic collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., consolidated over time through numerous successful orders, confirms the solidity of our relationship and Fincantieri’s role as a reference partner in the ultra-luxury segment represented by Regent Seven Seas Cruises,” said Pierroberto Folgiero, chief executive officer and general manager of Fincantieri.

“This new order is a testament to the confidence that this owner places in our ability to design and build innovative, sustainable ships built with the utmost craftsmanship, in line with the evolution of the luxury cruise market,” added Folgiero.

“In the face of new challenges and opportunities dictated by the market, from the growing commitment to sustainability to the enhancement of the guest experience. Fincantieri will continue to support its customers in their growth strategies and in the development of the future of the cruise industry globally.”

“This new order represents a new milestone in our growth journey in the luxury segment, offering our guests an even more exclusive way to experience aboard the world’s most luxurious fleet,” added Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Norwegian.

“It is confirmation of the growing demand for Regent’s top-level offer and of the value of our historic partnership with Fincantieri, based on quality and the constant and common pursuit of excellence.”
