Lisbon Cruise Port has announced that it was distinguished as the “Best Port in Southern Europe” at the fifth edition of the World Luxury Travel Awards 2025.

The gala ceremony took place in Barcelona on October 25.

The port said in a statement that this is the first time the Lisbon Cruise Terminal has received this international award, which was determined through public voting and a panel of industry experts.

The award highlights excellence in service, attention to detail, infrastructure quality, design, efficiency, customer feedback, marketing, diversity, privileged location and operational expertise at the terminal.

Lisbon Cruise Port said: “This distinction recognizes the excellence of the infrastructure and the quality of service provided to cruise passengers. This award strengthens Lisbon’s strategic role in cruise tourism, driving the local economy and promoting Portugal as a leading international destination.”

The port added that recognition at the World Luxury Travel Awards reinforces its position as a reference infrastructure in cruise tourism and consolidates Lisbon’s image as a gateway to global luxury tourism.
