The Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore will have year-round homeporting from Dream Cruises and Disney Cruise Line for the foreseeable future.

An expansion program is enabling that and includes larger guest areas in the terminal and dedicated check-in zones for each ship, a spokesperson said.

In addition is a new check-in hall with extra seating, additional lounges and larger seating areas, which will now add up to more than 3,500 seats across the terminal as the facility gears up for the future.

After the expansion, Marina Bay will be able to process 11,700 passengers daily, up from 6,800.

The terminal is coming off a record-breaking two million guests in 2024 and expects the figure to keep going up.

A new and enhanced Ground Transport Area is being developed to support the passenger flow with more pickup, coach, and taxi lots, and shuttle buses to the nearest MRT station on high-volume days.

The new Disney Adventure arrives on the scene later this year as the 6,000-guest ship will operate short cruises year-round from Singapore.

There is also seasonal business from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, as well as TUI, Princess and others, said a spokesperson.

As the world emerged from the pandemic, the Singaporean source market grew, with many trying cruising for the first time.

That, coupled with airlift into Singapore, has driven the uptick in capacity.
